As a 5 kW supply module, the Ferrocontrol DARC V05-10-00-0N for Elumatec feeds the digital axis controllers of the Ferrocontrol DARC system; version without interpolation processor, connected via CNC fieldbus (DARC system bus). This version is parameterised for machines made by Elumatec. The module provides the DC link voltage for up to eight axis controllers and handles the higher-level communication of the system.

Function within the DARC system
The supply module is operated directly on the three-phase mains (3 × 400 V, 380 V −10 % to 415 V +10 %, 50/60 Hz) and generates the 560 V DC link voltage for the connected axis controllers without a power transformer. Via the CNC fieldbus (DARC system bus) it receives positioning commands from the higher-level control and coordinates the data exchange with the axis controllers over the system bus; the RS232 service interface is used for parameterisation, commissioning and simple axis positioning from a PC.
