The FBI-PC-104 is used to connect the CNC field bus system. The card is in PC-104 format. The processor on the card takes over the control of the CNC field bus. It communicates with the PC via a dual port RAM. The internal intelligence of this card takes over the entire control of the CNC field bus, provides the pre-processed data to the PC processor and independently processes jobs that come from the PC.
The PC is thus relieved of all elementary fieldbus operations.
