The Rapid PCE5000 is the control panel with electronic control of the Rapid double mitre saws. The operator enters lengths and angles via the full numeric keypad and monitors the sawing sequence on the 8.4-inch TFT display. The control was built by Ferrocontrol for Rapid.
Design
Inside the panel a compact, fanless computer on a PC/104 baseboard runs under Windows NT. Via the fieldbus interface the control panel communicates with the drives and sensors of the saw. Thanks to the fanless design the panel is insensitive to chips and dust in production.
For the window manufacturer
If the control panel fails, the saw stops. Finke Maschinen supplies the PCE 5000 as a new unit, as a refurbished unit with warranty or as a tested used part, repairs defective panels (display, keypad, computer, power supply) and takes care of the data transfer. Please state the saw type and the number from the type plate when enquiring.
