The Ferrocontrol DARC V05-10-10-0J is a supply module with 5 kW rated power for the Ferrocontrol DARC drive system, in the version with interpolation processor, connected via CNC fieldbus (DARC system bus). The module provides the DC link voltage for up to eight axis controllers and handles the higher-level communication of the system.

Equipment
Hardware version 10: with integrated interpolation processor (IPR). The integrated interpolation processor executes positioning commands independently. Thanks to this decentralised intelligence, a real-time fieldbus is not required.

Function within the DARC system
The supply module is operated directly on the three-phase mains (3 × 400 V, 380 V −10 % to 415 V +10 %, 50/60 Hz) and generates the 560 V DC link voltage for the connected axis controllers without a power transformer. Via the CNC fieldbus (DARC system bus) it receives positioning commands from the higher-level control and coordinates the data exchange with the axis controllers over the system bus; the RS232 service interface is used for parameterisation, commissioning and simple axis positioning from a PC.
