As a 15 kW supply module, the Ferrocontrol DARC V15-30-00-09 feeds the digital axis controllers of the Ferrocontrol DARC system; version without interpolation processor, connected via Profibus DP. The module provides the DC link voltage for up to eight axis controllers and handles the higher-level communication of the system.

Equipment
Hardware version 00: basic version without interpolation processor. In the basic version the higher-level control performs the path calculation; the module passes the setpoints on to the axis controllers. The DARC modules additionally provide a connection for an override potentiometer to limit the traversing speed of the axes.

Function within the DARC system
The supply module is operated directly on the three-phase mains (3 × 400 V, 380 V −10 % to 415 V +10 %, 50/60 Hz) and generates the 560 V DC link voltage for the connected axis controllers without a power transformer. Via the Profibus DP it receives positioning commands from the higher-level control and coordinates the data exchange with the axis controllers over the system bus; the RS232 service interface is used for parameterisation, commissioning and simple axis positioning from a PC.
