The Ferrocontrol E°Darc EnDat 2.2 BASIC encoder module is the encoder module for absolute encoders with EnDat 2.2 interface without Functional Safety – grey front plate, only for the drive controllers of the E°Darc Ci generation. It belongs to the E°Darc C drive system from Ferrocontrol (Eckelmann) and plugs into the top of the drive controller as an option card (connection X15).

For machine operators
If your window or profile machining centre reports a fault on the drive controller or the option card, you will find the type designation on the black front cover and the part number on the nameplate on the left-hand side of the housing. You swap the part without having to program or adjust anything yourself.

Function
The module reads the absolute position digitally via the EnDat 2.2 protocol (single- and multi-turn) and is the standard encoder card of the Ci controllers for EnDat motor encoders without safety function. Slot and pin assignment are identical to the Functional Safety module; safe position values for the Cxx-Si controllers are supplied only by the yellow EnDat 2.2 Functional Safety module.

Suitable for
Drive controllers of the E°Darc Cxxi generation (C04i, C04Si, C08i, C08Si, C16Si, C32i, C32Wi). Not for the older E°Darc C controllers. The modules are not part of the controller’s scope of delivery and are ordered separately or taken over from the previous controller. They are only changed with the power off.
