Description
Plug and Work

As a 15 kW supply module, the Ferrocontrol DARC V15-20-25-0N feeds the digital axis controllers of the Ferrocontrol DARC 2 system; version with interpolation processor and incremental encoder interface, connected via CAN bus. The module provides the DC link voltage for up to eight axis controllers and handles the higher-level communication of the system.

Function within the DARC 2 system
The supply module is operated directly on the three-phase mains (3 × 400 V, 380 V −10 % to 415 V +10 %, 50/60 Hz) and generates the 560 V DC link voltage for the connected axis controllers without a power transformer. Via the CAN bus it receives positioning commands from the higher-level control and coordinates the data exchange with the axis controllers over the system bus; the RS232 service interface is used for parameterisation, commissioning and simple axis positioning from a PC.
